Four of America’s leading environmental and climate organizations have jointly endorsed President Biden‘s re-election bid, making it a landmark moment in the ongoing fight against the climate crisis. This early endorsement, a first of its kind, came from the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, NextGen PAC, NRDC Action Fund, and the Sierra Club, and signals the Biden-Harris administration’s remarkable strides in the sphere of environmental policy.
These powerhouse groups have celebrated the substantial progress made under the Biden administration, lauding its transformative efforts in addressing the climate crisis and Environmental justice. Their backing, at such an early stage in the electoral cycle, adds weight to the administration’s climate-centric policy, notably highlighted by the passage of the historic Inflation Reduction Act. This legislation earmarks an astounding $370 billion in subsidies for clean energy projects, showcasing the administration’s commitment to job creation in the clean energy sector.
The joint endorsement offers a significant boost to Biden’s re-election campaign, creating a solid foundation of Support from key advocacy groups and party constituencies. President Biden and Vice President Harris’s record of prioritizing climate, jobs, and justice from the onset of their tenure has struck a chord with these environmental advocates. As Tiernan Sittenfeld, LCV Action Fund’s senior vice president of government affairs, said, these organizations are eager to help Biden and Harris “finish the job” they’ve started.
These endorsements aren’t merely symbolic gestures but represent a shift in political momentum. Climate activists, empowered by the Inflation Reduction Act’s passage and Democrats‘ strong performance in the midterm elections, are set to mobilize younger voters and others spurred by climate concerns. With such robust backing, the four environmental organizations can reach into communities where they’ve established trust, activating voters and fueling the momentum for Biden’s reelection.
These environmental groups praise Biden not only for his landmark climate legislation but also for his action-oriented approach, visible in the executive orders on climate signed during his first days in office. In particular, the administration has worked towards incorporating Environmental justice groups into the policymaking process. The result? A transformed U.S. industrial policy revolving around clean energy, attracting $200 billion in new investments to launch more than 130 projects across over 30 states.
With this endorsement, the Biden administration’s unyielding commitment to combating Climate change has received a resounding vote of confidence. It’s a pivotal moment in American environmental politics as these organizations have collectively declared their intent to educate and mobilize their millions of members and supporters behind Biden and Harris’s climate and Environmental justice record ahead of the election.
The significance of this move should not be downplayed. As Manish Bapna, president and CEO of the NRDC Action Fund, asserted, Biden’s “climate leadership has been nothing short of historic.”

Biden fails when it comes to caring about domestic and wild animals. He sided with the pork industry when the Supreme Court took up the issue of Proposition 12. During the covid pandemic, he had no concern for the animals in slaughterhouses, just the safety of the workers. He allowed states to open extreme hunting seasons on wolves to exterminate them! He failed to codify Roe v. Wade when he had the chance.
