In the United States, there are about 70 million homeless cats and dogs living on the streets. With only six to eight million going through the shelter systems every year, you can understand why we have a serious dilemma on our hands. Unfortunately, this problem isn’t unique to the United States and is a pervasive issue throughout the world. Animals that are left on the street suffer greatly from hunger, illness, the elements, and at the hands of those who intend to do them hard.
Thankfully there are rescues, shelters, and good people out there that want to help those that cannot help themselves. And for you Green Monster, there are many ways that you can help to end pet homelessness. One way is to support local spay and neuter programs, another way is to adopt companions like Pauline.
