Blind and Deaf Dog Who Was Found Severely Emaciated Finally Gets Rescued From Horrific Backyard

S.N.A.R.R. Animal Rescue Northeast has saved the life of a neglected dog whose story is one of the rescue’s “saddest cases to date.” Upon his rescue, Kai was found emaciated, so weak he could not stand on his own, covered in pressure sores, blind, and deaf. He was wasting away kept in the yard, not allowed to come inside the house by the people who were supposed to take care of him. It was not certain what caused Kai to become so sick, but one thing was clear right away – he could not stay where he was even a moment longer.

Curiously, the rescuers were shown old pictures of Kai – ones in which he had a big smile on his face, was in good physical shape, muscular and well fed, and was cuddling up to his carer.

The man in the pictures was the very same person who then neglected the dog so severely…

The dog’s “caregiver” also claimed that Kai did not want to eat. But, once he was picked up to get to the rescue and was fed his first meal, Kai turned out to be ravenous and ate without any problem.

Now, Kai is finally in good hands and is receiving the help he so urgently needs.

Thanks to the rescuers, Kai can now get a second chance at a life. He is recovering both physically and emotionally from the time that he spent practically abandoned and neglected despite his alarming condition. Hopefully, he will soon discover what it means to have a real caring home.
