Alex Fernandez Camps, a Spanish industrial designer has developed a kids’ bike that is easy to ride and grows in size. The GROW bike is manufactured by Orbea, and has just been launched in Spain.
As the Orbea website describes, the design was driven by the need to create a durable, quality bicycle that could help improve the environment from an industrial and social perspective.
Since the bicycle can be used by the same child for twice the time, it offers obvious savings for the buyer. In addition, it offers ergonomic advantages, since kids quickly grow out of their bikes and end up riding bikes that are either too small or too big, which is not healthy.
No word yet about the launch of GROW bikes in the U.S., but we hope it’s soon!
