Hemp is a hot right now and its attractive versatility is continually growing in popularity. You can eat it, drink it, clothe yourself in it, and even build with it. Perhaps hemp can save the world, or at least make our lives a whole lot healthier and our planet much greener.
Fabric-wise, hemp typically tops the chart as one of the most sustainable options. Hemp can endure different climates and is even frost tolerant, allowing it to grow in a wide variety of areas. Plus, hemp uses less of our precious water resources than its more popular cousin, cotton. Additionally, hemp plants require little to no pesticides and herbicides, keeping the wildlife, wilderness, and waterways surrounding the crops safe.
Hemp is also biodegradable, returning to the earth without harming it, and is the longest known natural fiber. As they say, the longer a fiber is, the stronger the fabric.
With all these benefits, why not go hemp? Maybe you already have, and maybe even your furry companion has come to adore your favorite hemp T-shirt or shoe.
