Season’s greetings! The adorable baby bats in this video are all bundled up for the holidays thanks to their caretakers at Bat QLD, a rescue and rehabilitation center just for bats in Australia. They look like little festive Christmas burritos – if burritos had pacifiers!
A generous donor even provided all the baby bats with these stylish little Santa hats.
If you hadn’t already come to the conclusion that bats are anything but scary, we hope these jolly little bundles of joy and their holiday cheer shoo any remaining fears in your heart. Part of Bat QLD’s mission is to use education to dispell myths about bats and motivate people to protect these vital pollinators. We don’t know about you, but we think this video also does a fantastic job of that.

Barbed wire, cars, habitat loss, and illness are among the common threats to these flying mammals. While it might be tempting to wrap them up in a burrito like these guys, if you ever find an injured bat, leave them where they are and contact your local wildlife rehabilitation center immediately.
