Vegan Just Egg That Scrambles Like the Real Thing Is Coming to Europe!

Just Egg, a 100 percent vegan product that scrambles just like the real thing, is about to make its debut in Europe. JUST, a plant-based food company, has partnered with Italy-based Eurovo Group, a leading producer and distributor of dried eggs on the continent, to bring the cutting-edge plant-based scramble to Europeans.

Through the agreement between the two companies, JUST’s scramble will be marketed and sold alongside Eurovo’s conventional egg brands – the company has large-scale operations in Italy, Spain, France, Poland, and Romania. It will also be available to chefs and food service professionals. The vegan scramble’s appearance on the European market is great news for people who eat plant-based as well as those who do not eat eggs due to different health or dietary reasons – not to mention, anyone curious about new exciting (and healthy) options.

The plant-based scramble cooks and tastes just like regular chicken eggs, but it is made of an unlikely ingredient – mung bean, which is a “a 4,400-year-old legume … that magically scrambles like an egg.” As JUST points out, the scramble is free of antibiotics and cholesterol, it requires less water and produces fewer carbon emissions than eggs, and has many applications. The product is currently being launched in the U.S. as Just Egg and, according to JUST’s plans, it will also be available across Asia.

“Despite our differences in approach, together we can bring food that’s better for consumers and better for the planet, to more people, faster,” JUST Co-founder and CEO Josh Tetrick said.

Eurovo Group President, Siro Lionello, said partnering with JUST will let the company include a non-animal product in their portfolio and emphasized that embracing consumer preferences and reducing their environmental footprint were important to their business.

The exact date of the launch of JUST’s scramble in Europe has not yet been revealed, but hopefully it will make an appearance in stores soon!
