Neglected, Injured Former Puppy Mill Dog Was Found on the Streets in Pain – Look at Her Now!

The Trio Animal Foundation team is working to save the life of little Greenly, an emaciated Shih Tzu, who was hit by a car and suffered multiple injuries. The rescue was contacted about the dog by an open access shelter and took her under their care right away. At the emergency vet, X-rays showed that Greenly had multiple pelvic fractures and soft tissue damage. The dog’s coat was filthy and unkempt, full of debris, and her teeth are in a horrible state. Because she was in extreme pain, she had to be sedated to be shaven down for further examination of her injuries. The pup’s condition is very serious – but the rescuers are determined to do whatever it takes to fix them and give Greenly another chance.

Greenly is believed to be around three or four years old and is probably a puppy mill Shih Tzu. She is terribly scared and has to be on strict cage rest as well as strong pain medication for her extensive injuries.

The poor dog is currently hospitalized and will continue to undergo tests until her vets and caretakers are completely sure that she is stable. Hopefully, her condition will improve and she will soon have a chance to learn that life can be very different from the pain and fear that she had to endure so far.
